Stinging nettle nourishes the whole system, specifically the adrenals and kidneys, and has long been used as a remedy for rheumatism.
Very high in iron, nettle is a good tonic for blood disorders such as anaemia. The leaves are high in chlorophyll, which acts on the hormonal system, and the root is rich in vitamin C, which boosts immunity and treats conditions such as hayfever.
Nettle is often used to reduce inflammation in allergic responses and rheumatism. It is also a nourishing tonic for pregnant and lactating women.
